Every SKU needs a title, bullet points, a description and a meta description. Across dozens of products that is a lot of repetitive writing. AI is good at first drafts, as long as you feed it facts and check it did not improvise.
The parts of a product listing
| Part | Job | How to write it |
|---|---|---|
| Title | Match searches, earn the click | Main keyword first; category, size and key benefit |
| Bullet points | Persuade fast | Lead with the buyer's benefit, then the feature behind it |
| Description | Context and reassurance | Two short paragraphs on use cases and objections |
| Meta description | Search result snippet | Under about 155 characters, with what sets you apart |
Amazon sets title length and banned-word rules per marketplace and category, and changes them. Treat AI output as a draft and check your category style guide before listing.
The most common failure: invented specs
We tested a German listing for a "750ml insulated stainless steel bottle (cold 24h, hot 12h, 18/8 steel, BPA-free lid, fits car cup holders)". The first output claimed "doppelwandige Isolierung" (double-wall insulation), which was not in our input.
Plausible-but-unverified additions are the dangerous kind: most insulated bottles are double-walled, but if yours is not, that is false advertising. We tightened the tool's prompt to forbid materials, features, certifications and customer claims not in the input, and the retest was clean. Check every line before publishing anyway.
Use competitor reviews to answer objections
What buyers worry about is usually spelled out in competitors' 1-2 star reviews: leaks, poor insulation, hard-to-clean lids. Paste the recurring complaints into the facts box along with how your product solves them, and the bullets will address them head on.
- Only claim what your product really solves, with evidence (test results, design details).
- Do not name competitors; write positive statements such as "Leak-proof: silicone seal and screw-on lid".
- For large review sets, use the review reversal pipeline in the workspace.
